Solitamente, per gli individui i rischi associati all\u2019esecuzione di un esame TC sono bassi e i benefici spesso superano i rischi, purch\u00e9 la scansione sia clinicamente giustificata.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-baad7b6 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"baad7b6\" data-element_type=\"section\" dalla TC sono un noto cancerogeno e il rischio di sviluppare un tumore indotto da radiazioni derivanti da esami TC varia in base alla dose di radiazioni ricevuta (che dipende \u00a0a sua volta dall&#8217;indicazione clinica), dalla regione del corpo esaminata, dal sesso, dall&#8217;et\u00e0, dalla dimensione dei pazienti e dalle tecniche di acquisizione.<\/p><p>inoltre, bisogna considerare che <strong>dal 2009 <\/strong>il numero di esami TC eseguiti annualmente negli Stati Uniti \u00e8 aumentato di <strong>oltre il 30%.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section utilizzato \u00e8 accessibile al pubblico e sviluppato dalla professoressa Amy Berrington, responsabile del Clinical Cancer Epidemiology Group presso l&#8217;Institute of Cancer Research (ICR).<\/p><p>L&#8217;analisi dei dati \u00e8 stata condotta da Ottobre 2023 a Ottobre RICERCA<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7941\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"1\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7941\"><p>Dai dati \u00e8 emerso che, nel 2023, 61.510.000 pazienti hanno subito 93.000.000 esami TC di cui il 4,2% bambini e il 95,8% adulti.<\/p><p><strong>I tumori indotti da radiazioni sono risultati circa 103.000.<\/strong><\/p><p>Secondo le proiezioni statistiche, il rischio stimato era pi\u00f9 elevato nei bambini e negli adolescenti; tuttavia, <strong>un maggiore utilizzo della TC negli adulti ha rappresentato la maggior parte dei tumori indotti da radiazioni. <\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">I tumori pi\u00f9 comuni erano:<\/span><\/p><ul><li>polmonare (22.400 casi)<\/li><li>colon (8.700 casi)<\/li><li>leucemia (7.900 casi)<\/li><li>vescica (7.100).<\/li><\/ul><p>Nelle donne, il tumore al seno era il secondo pi\u00f9 comune (5.700 casi).<\/p><p>Il numero maggiore di tumori \u00e8 stato stimato come risultato della <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TC addominale<\/span> e pelvica negli adulti, riflettendo 37.500 dei 103.000 tumori (37%) e 30 milioni dei 93 milioni di esami TC (32%), seguiti dalla <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TC toracica<\/span> (21.500 tumori; 20 milioni di esami). Nei bambini, invece, sono le <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TC cerebrali<\/span> a comportare un rischio maggiore.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-toggle-item\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-title-7942\" class=\"elementor-tab-title\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"button\" aria-controls=\"elementor-tab-content-7942\" fa-caret-up\"><\/i><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a class=\"elementor-toggle-title\" tabindex=\"0\">QUALI PROSPETTIVE FUTURE?<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<div id=\"elementor-tab-content-7942\" class=\"elementor-tab-content elementor-clearfix\" data-tab=\"2\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"elementor-tab-title-7942\"><p>Questo studio ha evidenziato che, con l&#8217;attuale utilizzo della TC e livelli di dose di radiazione misurati, <strong>gli esami TC nel 2023 sono stimati a risultare in proiezione futura in circa 103.000 tumori nel corso della vita dei pazienti esposti.<\/strong> Se le pratiche attuali persistono, il cancro associato alla TC potrebbe eventualmente rappresentare <strong>il 5% di tutte le nuove diagnosi di tumore annuale.<\/strong><\/p><p>Questa percentuale \u00e8 pari al numero di tumori causati dall&#8217;alcol, come riportato sul sito dell\u2019ICR (Institute Cancer Research, visitato in data 17\/04\/2025, <a
